

Timothy was born in Pueblo, Colorado, to Claudia Smith (Harvey).
A 1989 graduate of Pueblo South High School, Tim joined the U.S. Army that same year, where he served as an Intelligence Officer. He later earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the Denver Institute of Technology. A true jack of all trades, Tim found his passion in construction contracting, a career he pursued until his retirement in 2006.
He was a proud member of The Order of Elks Lodge #90, where he served as Lecturing Knight.
Timothy had a wide range of hobbies and interests. He enjoyed building model cars and planes, crafting lamps from old car gears, fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. Known as both a wild spirit and a wild card, Tim was deeply loved by many.
He is preceded in death by his father Timothy Jay Smith, Sr., who preceded him in death on June 6, 2008; grandparents Irene and Garfield Johnson, Gene and Bea Smith, uncles; Donnie Smith, Bob Simon, and Margie Simon.
Tim is survived by his loving wife, Shannon Smith; his children, Tristan Smith and Rheanon Smith; his parents, Harvey and Claudia Smith; his brother, Darin Smith and his spouse Jessica; and their children Ariel, and Chloe Smith; his sister Leah Herrera her spouse Adrian and their children, May and Maxwell, and sister Fay Lefler; and her children, Raki, and Kirabelle Lefler; and many more beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews.
A private burial is scheduled for September 14, 2025. Additionally, a private Celebration of Life Service will be held on the same date at the Elks Lodge #90 in Pueblo, Colorado.
