William "Bill" Owen White

the Lord, on April 19, 2020 at home surrounded by family.

Bill was born August 12, 1943 in Littleton, Colorado, the son of Gerald and Leona White. He was the oldest of two siblings. Bill was honorably discharged from the US Marines in June of 1963. On June 19, 1965 he married Thelma Lorraine Timmons. He then began his working career at the Denver Water Department where he was a valued and respected employee and managed the Environmental Department. He retired from there after 35 years of service. Bill also became a business owner of the Better Bodies Gyms for 8 years.

Bill is dearly loved by those who knew him, and he could make a friend out of anyone if you gave him 5 minutes of your time. Bill is survived by his wife Thelma Lorraine White, daughters Tammy White and Tracy Boone. Honorary daughters Sharon Montoya and Sandy Jeltema. Grandchildren Elijah Boone, Jaclyn Boone Hancock (Casey Hancock); Nicole Boone (Chance Pellum); Desarae Carn (Troy Carn); Derek Boone; Great Grandchildren Palmer and Sawyer Hancock; Tex Pellum; Toby, Brock and Bronson Carn; Sister, Bonnie Dews; sister-in-law Elaine Smith (Bob Smith); brother-in-law Ralph Timmons (Linda Timmons) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and godchildren.

Private Services will be held Tuesday April 28, 2020. Due to Coronavirus the family is unable to have you join them in person. In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that donations be made to the foundation that Bill’s daughter and grandson began in 2015. This Foundation and cause were very near and dear to Bill’s heart because it was started after Tracy and Elijah lost her husband and his daddy when Elijah was only six years old. This organization was established to care for the widows and the fatherless and their communities on their path to healing.

When Tracy found out they had an opportunity to start a weekly nationwide television show on the Now Network, Bill pulled out his birthday money from his wallet and donated it to her show. He always saved his birthday money and spent it on something very special.
