Bernice Laverne Nelson

She was a retired Supervisor from Kay Windsor in Lawrenceburg, TN and a member of Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by husband Rev. Marvin Nelson, her parents, Casper and Ethel Risner Rose, two brothers, Grady (Buddy) and Phillip Rose, three sisters, Clarice Rose, Iva Mae Rose and Frances Francis.

Survivors are: one son, Leonard Nelson and wife Karen of Ethridge Community, one daughter, Brenda Nelson Dickey and husband Revis of the Liberty Hill Community, two grandchildren, Derrick Dickey of Liberty Hill Community, Pam Dickey Matney and husband John of Ethridge Community, two great grandchildren, Joshua Matney of Ethridge and

Adria Matney White and husband Brad of Lawrenceburg, TN, 1 great, great, great grandchild Avery White, two sisters, Geneva Holland and husband Harley of Ethridge, TN, Linda Brock and husband David of Liberty Hill, TN, one brother, David Rose and wife Bonnie of Pulaski, TN, 1 step grandson, 3 step great grandchildren, and 2 great great step grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at the Liberty Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Liberty Hill Cemetery, with Wayne Ashford and James D. Nave officiating, the body will lie in state at the church from 12Pm until funeral time at 2PM at the church.
