Mr. Norwood was born March 6, 1926 in Appleton, Tennessee to Marion Freddie and Lillian Pearl Warren Norwood. He was a retired mail carrier with the United States Postal Service and was preceded in death by his parents, five sisters and 8 brothers.
Visitation will be Tuesday March 8, 2016 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday March 9, 2016 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Minor Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Norwood Cemetery Maintenance Fund c/o Rodney Norwood 238 Thompson Dr. Minor Hill, TN.
Survivors include his sons Charles A. Norwood and wife Faye of Columbia, Randy Norwood of Minor Hill, Richie Norwood and wife Tammy of Minor Hill, brother Tom Norwood of Arlington, TX, eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three step great grandchildren.
