Dorothy Jane Howell

Mrs. Howell was born January 29, 1933 to the late Edd Lee and Eura Jane (McClure) Hobbs. She was married to the late Charles Grady Howell. Mrs. Howell is survived by a son, Joe Gary Howell of Giles County and two grandsons, Charles Gary “Charlie” Howell and Tylor Lee Howell of Lawrence County.

In addition to her son and grandsons, Mrs. Howell is survived by sisters; Maumie Gibbons, Lila Mae Shook, Fannie Lee Wilburn, Derothy Neal and Alma Ruth Howell. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Howell is preceded in death by brothers; Dr. James Nathaniel Hobbs and Garfield “Bus” Hobbs.

Mrs. Howell was a member of Scotts Hill Baptist Church and a 1950 graduate of Bodenham High School. With her husband and son she farmed all her adult life. She was also a homemaker and a former employee of Lee Mar Manufacturing.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at 2:00PM at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home in Pulaski with Bro. Jesse Littrell officiating. Visitation will be from 11AM to 2PM till time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Scotts Hill Cemetery.
