Mrs. Tarpley was born November 16, 1928 in Boones Hill community to Harlin Minters and Eunice Laura Cunningham Smith. She was a hairdresser at the House of Beauty and preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest Tarpley, sister Edna Earl Hobbs and brother Elmo Smith.
Graveside service will be held 12 p.m.Tuesday January 5, 2016 at Giles Memory Garden with burial to follow.
Memorials may be made to Alive Hospice.
Survivors include son Ron Tarpley of Jacksonville, FL, daughter Joy Hagan and husband Jon of Nashville, brothers Ray Smith of Boones Hill, TN, Billy Smith of Fayetteville, TN, sisters Faye Jackson of Fayetteville, NC, Jeanie Reed of Fayetteville, TN, two grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
