James Edward Newton, age 89 of Ardmore passed away April 18, 2015. His parents were the late Herman and Florence Newton. He was a farmer and a U. S. Navy Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Elizabeth Felker. Survivors include his wife Martha Rogers Newton of Ardmore, daughter Patricia Berryhill and husband David of Ardmore, brothers Thurman and Clarence Newton of Pulaski, and Porter Newton of Lawrenceburg, sisters Velma Mitchell and Wilma Pierce of Pulaski, grandson Stephen Berryhill and wife Lisa, granddaughter Cheryl Lowe and husband Mike, 4 great grandchildren, and 6 great, great grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 22 with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery
