Mr. Strickland was born February 27, 1939 in the Wales community to James Thomas “Tommie” and Martha Ellen Edde Strickland. He was retired from the Pulaski Rubber Plant and preceded in death by his parents and one son James Steven Strickland.
Visitation will be Thursday November 12, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Survivors include his wife Sue Word Strickland of Pulaski, sons Dwayne Strickland of Pulaski, Jeff Strickland of LaVergne, Tim Strickland of LaVergne, brothers G.W. Strickland and wife Adell of Pulaski, Don Strickland and wife Carolyn of Campbellsville, Roger Strickland and wife Betty of Pulaski, grandchildren Jon, Bradley, Timothy, Jessica and Brandon Strickland, and seven great grandchildren.
