Mrs. Mitchell was born November 24, 1926 in Lawrence County, TN to Claud A. and Mattie E. Carroll Wright. She was a retired nurse at Hillside Hospital and preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Mitchell, and two brothers MJ Pennington and Robert Wright.
Visitation will be Monday September 8, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Funeral will be 1 pm Tuesday September 9, 2014 at Carr & Erwin Chapel with interment in Maplewood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Giles County Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her daughter Bobbie Hayes and husband Ed of Madison, AL, brother Jimmy Wright of Pulaski, three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
