She was born in Kingsport, TN on September 26, 1930, a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, and preceded in death by her parents, George Madison and Nancy Ellen Harless Gilley, and her son, Michael Carvell.
Visitation will be on Sunday, September 10, 2017, beginning at 1:00 p.m. until Funeral time at 3:00 p.m. at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home with burial to follow in Maplewood Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Garfield Carvell of Lawrenceburg, TN, her sons, Kent Carvell (Jane Gay) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Tracy Carvell (Barbara) of Portland, TN, and Lance Carvell of Lawrenceburg, TN, her daughters, Wanda Maib of Lawrenceburg, TN, and Lesa Odom (Mike) of Lawrenceburg, TN, her sister, Cora “Kitty” Erwin of Ocala, FL, 11 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
