Shirley was born in Pulaski, TN on December 6, 1942 to Roy Solomon and Lola Dunnavant. She was a dedicated homemaker who always fed everyone because of her love of cooking. Shirley had other talents outside of the house such as fishing and growing a garden; it didn’t matter whether it was flowers or fruit trees. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents; 8 siblings.
Visitation will be 12-2pm on Thursday May 29, 2025 at Carr and Erwin Funeral Home with a 2pm Funeral Service following. Interment will be in Giles Memory Gardens.
Shirley is survived by her son Joey Barton of Ardmore; daughter Lynn Barton of Dandridge; grandchildren Tyler Barton, Josh Newton (Monica), Carrie Hodge (Matt); great grandchildren Anthony, Luke, Sophia; as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
