Wendell Nathan Pierce of the Rose Hill community passed away February 11, 2012. He was the son of the late Nathan Edward & Pauline Spires Pierce and 55 years old. He was also preceded in death by his son Bryan Pierce. Survivors include his wife Diane Pierce and daughter Nakiesha Payne of Rose Hill, brothers Larry Pierce of Rockvale and James Wayne (Pecker) Pierce and wife Hattie of Santa Fe, sisters Janie Swift and Betty Jo Meacham of Mt. Pleasant, and Janice Payne and husband Rickey of Decatur, AL, and grandson Robert Nathan Pierce. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Sunday February 12, 2012 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday February 13, 2012 at Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation to defray funeral expenses.
