William was born March 27, 1949 in Gloversville, NY to Robert L. and Dorothy M. Wilder Ellis. He was a United States Army Ranger, loved woodworking, and home improvement projects. William was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy, wife Marie Elizabeth Ellis, daughter Charlene Wille, brothers Wayne, Danny and Alfred Ellis, and sister Lynn Skowren.
Visitation will be 10am-12pm Sunday August 18, 2024 at Carr & Erwin Funeral Home.
Survivors include his sons Patrick Ellis of LA, Christopher Robbins of NY, James Robbins (Rhonda) of NY, Karl Robbins (Kathy) TN, Bradley Ellis (Samantha) of TN, daughters Tonya Ellis (Tom Bleyl) of NY, Nicole Gulley (Doug) of TN, brothers Ron Ellis (Linda), Richard Ellis (Karen), Larry Ellis (Lisa), Mike (Jane), sister Margaret Duesler (Vern) all of NY, 19 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
