Allan Boynton of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024, with family and loved ones by his side. Never a shy person, Allan made friends easily with his humor, storytelling, and generosity. Friends and family will remember him as an adventurer, traveling the world over (and over), while also enjoying the freedom of being a pilot and the frustration of being a golfer! His smile said so much about his positivity, happiness, and even, sometimes mischievousness; as if he knew something we all didn’t about the wonder of the world! The father, the friend, the smile, will be dearly missed and the world without him will feel just a little bit smaller.
Allan was preceded in death by his father Allan Sr., mother Anna, sister Nancy, and his wife of 48 years, Judith. He is survived by his sons, Michael and Scott, his daughter Patricia, six grandchildren, three great grandchildren and his loving partner, Judy.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 10, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 W. Charlotte Ave, Punta Gorda. Interment will be private, followed by a Celebration of Life at Twin Isles Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
