

Jack L. Cavaluzzo Sr., age 91, of Punta Gorda, FL, formerly of Saddle Brook, NJ, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 29th, 2022. He was born on July 12th, 1931 in Passaic, New Jersey. Jack was a U.S. Marine who served in the Korean War receiving a Purple Heart and was a third-degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Chapter 8074. Before he retired, he worked for Wonder Bread for 35 years. After he retired, he and his wife relocated to sunny Punta Gorda, Florida where they have lived for the past 25 years. Jack enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, puzzles and was an avid New York Yankees fan, never missing a game.
He was a beloved husband of 70 years to Vinnie Cavaluzzo; devoted father of four beautiful children: Jaclynn Catello and husband Joseph, JoAnn McCarthy and husband Michael, Jack L. Cavaluzzo, Jr., and John Cavaluzzo; grandfather to three wonderful grandchildren: Amy Bingamon and husband Charles “Chaz,” Alexis and Alex Cavaluzzo; great-grandfather to two amazing great-grandchildren: Justin and Tyler Montagna. Beloved brother to Patricia D’Arrigo (wife of the late Daniel D’Arrigo), the late Millie Salerno (wife of Phil Salerno), and the late Ruth Delaney (wife of the late Robert Delaney).
Visitation will be held in the evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 1st, 2022 at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Homes, 635 E Marion Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950, and a Funeral Mass will be held in the morning at 11:00 am on Friday, September 2nd, 2022 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 211 W Charlotte Avenue, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
