Ronald Semiao

Ronald (Ron) Semiao, age 90, passed away on October 13, 2022, in Port Charlotte, FL. He was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on December 29, 1931, to parents Olivia (Tavares) and Manuel Gomes Semiao. He was a lifelong resident of New Bedford, Massachusetts until moving to Florida in 2005.

Ronald served in the US Army during the Korean conflict and was stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska. After serving our country, he worked at Morse Cutting Tools for 37 years as a machinist.

Ronald was great at solving problems, an avid sports fan, and loved playing cards with his friends and family.

Ronald was the husband of the late Joan (Axtell) Semiao and is survived by four children: Bruce, Brian Sr., Debra, and Karen (Carl); seven grandchildren: Melissa, Michael (Kerryn), Brian Jr., Jonathan, Jillian, Jessica (Steve), and Thomas Jr.; ten great-grandchildren: Makayla, Anthony, Dillon, Eva, Xavier, Makayla, Michael Jr., Owen, Maddox, and Thomas III. Siblings: Lola Mach and Lionel Semiao. Ron also had many dear friends and extended family members.

Predeceased family members include: daughter-in-law Kathy (wife of Brian Sr.) and siblings: Dolores Guillette, Manuel (Manny) Semiao, Jack Semiao, John Semiao, Antone (Tony) Gomes, Mary Camara and Julia Benton.

A private family service will be at Pine Grove Cemetery (date to be determined).
