

Brad Lee PettitBrad Lee Pettit, age 39, passed away on Oct. 10, 2010 in Renton, Washington. He was born Jan. 6, 1971 in Puyallup, Washington. Brad graduated from Puyallup High School in 1989. He entered the U.S. Navy and went to Jacksonville, FL and Charleston, SC for his training. He then went to Corpus Christie, TX to train as a rescue swimmer and had many honors, setting new records for fastest time as a rescue swimmer and assembly and disassembly of underwater mines. Brad served on the USS Pioneer (MCM-9, N Avenger Class), a mine detection ship. He was going to enter the Navy Seal program, when he was injured and was honorably discharged. Brad then returned to Puyallup and went to work for Trident Fishing Company in Seattle. He went to Alaska to do Dutch Harbor crab fishing in the Bering Sea, which he loved dearly. He loved the water and the outdoors. Brad was very funny, outgoing and could meet and talk to anyone, young or old. He loved to laugh. Brad is survived by his parents; Sherrie (Tim) Kleinhuizen of Puyallup, Tom (Jenny) Pettit of Eatonville, Sister; Shelly Pettit of Graham, Many aunts, uncles and many, many cousins. Graveside Committal service is Fri, Oct. 22, 2010, 3:00PM at Woodbine Cemetery, Puyallup, WA. Memorial Contributions may be made to Operation Ward 57, P.O.
