Kathryn M Sawyer

Kathryn Mabel Sawyer (Kathy) passed away peacefully on March 28, 2012 in Puyallup,Wa. with her Loving Son Michael at her side. Born August 23, 1939 in Bemidji, Minnesota, Kathy made her home in Puyallup for the past 65 years. She was predeceased by her parents Delbert A. Campbell Sr. and Irma (Edwards) Campbell and her loving husband M. Douglas Sawyer. She is survived by her son Michael D Sawyer of Puyallup and brother Delbert A Campbell, Jr. and nephew Kevin of Wichita Falls, Tx. Kathy graduated from Auburn High School in 1957. She retired in 1996 following more than 30 years employment with Department of the Army, Madigan Army Hospital. Kathy was a member of the Eagles' FOE 2308, Lipoma Firs Ladies Club and a Past President of the Washington State Eagles Golf Association. Kathy loved golf, playing cribbage, and bowled on leagues for many years, recently becoming a great fan of Wii bowling. Doug and Kathy enjoyed many years traveling together and golfing after retirement. A private service will be held on April 4, 2011. A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held at a later date.
