Margaret Edith Severson Chase

.Margaret E. Chase, 97, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on October 2, 2010. She was preceded in death by Leland G. Chase, her husband of 64 years and six sisters: Alice, Clara, Jenny, Helen, Maxine and Ruth.

Margaret was born in Graham, Washington on March 24, 1913 to Charles and Nora Severson, and she and her seven sisters attended school in Eatonville.

Margaret and Leland raised their family and spent their retirement years together in Aberdeen, WA. She lived the last 14 years in Puyallup.

Margaret was blessed with a wonderful life filled with love, laughter, friends, and most importantly family. She enjoyed gatherings with family and friends, gardening, ceramics, summer vacations at Lake Chelan; strolling the beaches of Hawaii, Mexico and the Pacific Northwest; and keeping her cookie jar full for all to share.

Margaret is survived by her two sons Del (Sue) Chase of Sedona, Arizona, Gary Chase of Puyallup and daughter Connie (Mark) Irwin of Washougal, WA; 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister Alberta Shandrow, and many nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the Makhtar Fatou senior home for their loving care.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 14th at 1:30PM at Powers Funeral Home in Puyallup.
