

Oscar D. Arndt Age 90, born in Mineral, WA to Oscar G. Arndt and Eva Clair Daniels Oct. 7, 1924; passed away on April 30, 2014 in Eatonville, WA. Widowed, and a machinist at Boeing, he fought in WWII in the 501st Parachute Regiment of the 101st Airborne (known as "Lucky" Arndt), surviving Normandy, Holland (Market Garden), and Bastogne, and fought to the end of the war in Europe. He attended the 60th anniversary of D-Day and is survived by his son Timothy Arndt, grandchildren Brenda K. Gage and Tara L. Wenger, and his sister Patsy Welch of Portland, OR. He was a good father and brother throughout his life, showing integrity, character, endurance, unselfishness, dependability, physical courage, and loyalty in everyday life. Memorial service will be held at noon on May 20th at Powers Funeral Home, 320 W Pioneer Ave., Puyallup, WA 98371.
