
Richard Pringle Passed away November 8, 2016 at the age of 87. He lived his life in Tacoma, WA. He attended Lincoln HS, enlisted in the Coast Guard in 1947, and was Honorably Discharged in 1955. He returned to Tacoma and started his career as a Pressman for the News Tribune. He met his wife Shirley Mitchell at a big band dance and they married in 1956. Richard was a member of the Elks and liked to impress his parents by taking them to dinner at the Downtown Tacoma Elks on prime rib night. Richard was preceded in death by his parents William and Helen, brothers Don and Gordy, wife Shirley, and daughter Janice. He is survived by his son Mitchell, daughter-in-law Kristen, grandson Matthew, and brother John, along with nieces and nephews. Richard was most proud of his family, and they were all proud of him. He instilled good ethics and strength. He was steadfast in life, which made him a model worker, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed tinkering on anything with a combustion engine. He loved golf, and when the weather turned bad he would wood carve to whittle away the time. A private inurnment will be held at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup.
