

Born February 5, 1925 in Topeka, Kansas and passed away March 4, 2012 in Puyallup, Washington. He was the son of the late W.Leo Elmore and R. Geneva Cahill Elmore. He graduated from Topeka High School in 1943 and immediately enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He is a WWII Veteran. He served on active duty until the end of the war. He was a member of the Navy Reserves until his retirement in 1985. He married Rebecca May McCoin on April 23, 1950 in Lawrence, Kansas. She preceded him in death. He was also married to Jerry Dean, she preceded him in death also. Wayne worked for the Kansas Dept. of Motor Fuel Tax for over 35 years, he and his wife Becky had a store and Income Tax/Bookkeeping business from 1968 to 1984. He was also a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the U.S.S. Belleau Wood (CVL-24_ Association He was preceded in death by his mother, father, two wives, and four brothers; Glenn, M. Dale, Neil, and Hobart. He lived the last 7 ½ years with his daughter, Peggy Borgatti and son in law Ed. He is also survived by his sons; Stephen (Donna) Elmore of Great Mills, MD and Michael (Xiaosheng), of Walnut Creek, CA. Wayne also has 8 grandchildren: James, Elizabeth, Joseph, Jared, Allison, Kellen, Katherine, and Tina as well as 5 great grandchildren.
