Bridget Ferguson

Bridie Ferguson (nee Carroll) a native of Ballyheigue, County Kerry, Ireland passed away peacefully on December 31, 2024 after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Bridie was 87 years old. Bridie was the loving wife of Patrick (Paddy) who predeceased her on December 29, 2017.

Bridie was a loving mother to her predeceased daughters, Margaret Mary & Bernadette Ann.

Bridie is survived by her loving son Patrick & his wife Kelly.

She was Nana to Brendan & Hannah who mean the world to her. In addition, Bridie is survived by her seven sisters and several nieces and nephews all of whom live in Ireland.

Bridie arrived in the United States at 19 years of age. She met Paddy in New York City and started a wonderful life together in the Bronx, before moving to Astoria. Bridie worked as a superintendent of their building and took great pride in her work. She loved chatting with the neighbors & was a friend to all.

Bridie has been a resident of Bellerose for the last 30 years and was a faithful parishioner of Saint Gregory the Great.

Bridie will be greatly missed and left a lasting impression on all those lucky enough to have met her. Her smile was infectious and her love for all could be felt by everyone who met her. May she rest in peace and watch over all of us from heaven.
