Grandpa,

I miss you and I love you a lot. I pray for you everyday. I yearn for the day we meet again or the day I can hear you voice or feel your hand guiding me on my shoulders. There’s not a day in my heart where I don’t feel an emptiness that I was left with after you passed away. I know I still have a long way to grow as a man but I hope you can help me as I walk this path of my own life. Things weren’t easy when you got sick and they haven’t gotten much better but at least when you were here I had something to look forward to. I miss our conversations. I miss sitting by your bedside even while you were sleeping peacefully. I wish god could’ve taken years off of my life and given them to you because I’d give anything to be with you for even one more day. You were one of the strongest people I know and you made me who I am. I’ll always carry you in my heart wherever my travels take me. I hope you follow me and you can answer some of my prayers. Some days I wish I can be up there with you. But I know that probably won’t be for a very long while. Until then, save me a spot next to you. I miss you grandpa, you were the light of my life and it’s been hard to find my spark again, maybe you can help me. Maybe you can help fill the void in my heart.

Hey Grandpa,

I hope you’re doing good up there in the great above. I hope you’re enjoying the greener pastures with your son and your beloved siblings and other family. I hope you’re watching over the family you’ve helped raise as well, us. I miss you a lot and I pray to you every single day. It doesn’t get easier, especially with my birthday feeling so empty being the first one without you. You were the light in my life and I feel so dim and depressed without you. I wish I knew the words to tell you sometimes or what to ask for but I feel a heaviness in my heart everyone I’m reminded I can’t rest my head on your shoulder anymore. My life hasn’t been easy lately and the only person I could ever talk to about it was you. I hope you answer my pleas and prayers and you can help guide my path and lighten my spark again. You will always be the piece of my heart that I will never be able to fill again but will always be desiring. Save me a spot up there next to you, as you always have since the day I was born. I can’t wait to hold your hands and walk together again soon enough. I love you more than heart will ever be able to express and I hope you visit me in my dreams and thoughts. Please give me the same strength and determination you had while your presence was here on this earth.

Happy Father’s Day in Heaven, Grandpa

Today is our first Father’s Day without you, and the silence of your absence is louder than any words I could ever write. It’s strange how a single day can feel so full of love and yet so hollow at the same time. I find myself thinking about you more than ever, not just because of today, but because a lot reminds me of you.

You weren’t just my grandfather. You were my rock and my guide. So many of my values, my habits, even the way I see the world, come from you. You didn’t just teach me with words, you taught me by example. Through your patience, your work ethic, your wisdom, and above all, your love.

I miss your voice, your advice, your laugh, and the way you always made me feel loved, even when things were hard. I miss the way you made everyone around you feel like they mattered. You held our family together like glue, and even though you’re no longer here, I feel your presence in all the little things, your chair at the table, the stories we still tell, and the traditions we try to keep alive because we know how much they meant to you.

Thank you, Grandpa. Thank you for every lesson, every hug, every quiet moment where you sat and listened, even when I didn’t have the words. Thank you for believing in me and for always being in my corner. Thank you for shaping the person I’m becoming. I want you to know I carry your love and thoughts with me every single day I hope I make you proud. I hope, wherever you are, you’re smiling down on us with the same warmth you always gave in person. 

You spent a lifetime being a father and the best grandfather, and now you get to spend an eternity with your beloved son up above. Give him the same love you once gave us.

It has been 4 months since you passed and almost 1 since we finally sent you on your journey across the Atlantic. I hope your soul is contented and we have done everything you wished. I still miss you alot and wish that I can tell you about all the adventures I’ve been on and even ones I have yet to go on. Grandpa, you mean more to me than my heart itself even knows. I am trying to do everything by you to make you proud and it feels tough sometimes, but I want to make sure all the work and sacrifices you put in were not in vain. I love you a lot and I carry your memory and spirit with me wherever I travel. Take care and I yearn for the day where I can sit beside you once again and tell you about all the fun I’ve had, all the travels I’ve been on, all the places I’ve seen, and all the people I met. Until then, please watch over your family and ensure that we have bright prospective futures. I love you grandpa ❤️ 🕊️.

3 months have passed now and we have finally released your ashes into the sea as you asked… grandpa saying goodbye to you was one of the hardest things, if not the most hardest thing, I’ve ever had to do in my life. But I do have the feeling that you are there with me by my side, helping me and the family navigate through life. I’m wishing you a safe journey, wherever you are, and I can only hope to meet you there one day. Until then, save me a spot next to you, as I have spent so many years doing so. I love you grandpa, may you sleep in peace and watch over your son, wife, granddaughters, daughter-in-law, and grandson. I’ll love you more than my words can ever express, and you’ll always be in my heart wherever I go.

2 months and I still miss you more and more everyday. My best friend, my teacher, my grandfather please watch over me and the family. I love you more than my words can ever say and I wish I can hear your voice and hold your hands, kiss your forehead one last time. Sometimes I am worried that I don’t have it all figured out but I hope you will help me find my way through life without you physically here in my world anymore. May you rest in peace with your son, until I see you again grandpa. 🙏🏼❤️😢

Grandpa, it’s already been one month without you. Somehow time feels slow, but fast at the same time. The past 3 years flew right past us and although we feel like we spent all of our time with you, it never feels like enough. I promised you to come and see you all the time, but sometimes I can’t help but feel like there was never enough time in the world to spend with you. I lived most of my life with you by my side, and it’s been difficult to live without you there. It hasn’t gotten any easier, but I’ve accepted that you’ve crossed the threshold and ascended to a higher level. Please, watch over us and make sure that we are in your loving care and hands. There’s times where I wish now more than ever that I can hear your voice for one more second, even one word, but I wake up each day realizing what we’ve lost. Each day that passes I feel more and more lost without you, I beg you to give me the strength and guidance to continue forward and grow into a not just a better person, but a strong man.  I’ll love you more than I can say grandpa, I am asking for you to help wipe our tears, lift our burdens, and bless us as we walk this path forward. I’ll still be looking forward to seeing you in my dreams, I asked you to promise me that before we sent you to your heavenly abode. Please keep that promise as I have kept mine. I love you, Victoria loves you, Isabella loves you, Dad loves you, Grandma loves you, and Mom loves you.
