Cherisen Boodhoo

Cherisen Boodhoo passed away at 1:10 pm on Friday June 20, 2025, at the age of 79 in New Hyde Park, NY. He was born on November 1, 1945 at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne Berbice, Guyana, the son of Boodhoo and Sukhai Kaillo. He was a security officer at JFK airport for 20 years.

Surviving are his sister Julie, His wife Drupatie Garney, who he married on April 26, 1964 at Bush Lot Farm, Corentyne,

Four of his children, Vishnu, Chiman, Radha, and Chunno. He is preceded in death by his two sons Brahma and Ricky.

Also surviving are his eleven grandchildren, Andrew, Melanie, Karissa, Stephanie, Kenny, Brandon, Kereena, Samir, Ashley, Ethan, and Sarah and his one great grandchild, Lyla.

A visitation will be held at R. Stutzmann & Son, located at 224-39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428, on June 24, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

The funeral service is scheduled for June 25, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, also at R. Stutzmann & Son, 224-39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428.

Cremation will take place at All Souls Chapel and Crematory, 72-02 Astoria Blvd S, New York, NY 11370, on June 25, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
