

James E. Jackson affectionately called Jimmy by his family and friends was born to the late Jessie K. Randolph and the late Harold Beard in Queens, NY on March 5, 1964. The family of Jimmy is deeply saddened by his transition on April 9, 2020. After graduating from Benjamin Cardoza High School he attended LaGuardia Community College and joined the US Army Reserve. Jimmy's first job was working for the US Postal Service kicking off a career in public service. He continued his career in the public sector as a Bus Mechanic for the MTA (previously Jamaica Bus Company). Jimmy worked as a Bus Mechanic for over 30 years.
Jimmy was married to Sharon Jackson who was his partner in life for 17 years at the time of his transition. He was the most loving husband, father and grandfather a family could ask for.
Jimmy had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. Everyone loved him. Anyone who knew Jimmy knew that he was a special soul. He was an immensely bright and kind hearted individual who did his best to help others throughout his life. Over the years Jimmy developed a close
relationship with many of his coworkers and childhood friends and considered them all family.
Jimmy was known for his stylish vehicles. He would purchase a car or truck and give it an extraordinary look that everyone admired and raved about. He became a member of Moving On Truck Club and gave back to the South Jamaica community by providing needed items to the underserved and
overlooked in his local community during the holidays.
Besides spending time with his family and friends Jimmy found enjoyment in sports. He was a huge Jets fan. He enjoyed going to football, baseball and basketball games. He also loved boxing matches. Jimmy recently developed a new found passion for travel. He loved seeing the world but he especially
enjoyed going on cruises.
Jimmy was predeceased by his parents and his brother David L. Jackson. Jimmy's memory will forever be cherished by his wife Sharon, his daughters Shaquasia Jackson, Shabree Jackson and Jaiasia Jackson, his sisters Peggy Jackson-Wilson, Maria Jackson-White, Stephanie Beard, Marsha Beard,
his brother Harold Q. Beard, his brother in laws Trevor White, Edward Wilson, Glen Pough and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
