He is survived by his wife Marly, his two daughters Kimberly (17) and Emily (9), and his siblings Lavive, Salime, Sofia, and Jorge.
He loved to laugh and make you laugh. He had an uncanny knack for bringing joy even during the worst times. He would make you laugh so hard that your side would hurt. In particular, his impersonations of mom were the funniest, and always a must during our family gatherings.
He loved barbecues at Bear Mountain National Park, right by the lake. He would arrive with so much food and supplies that it would take several trips just to set up. He of course was the “Master Chef” grilling steaks, chicken, chorizos, hot dogs and burgers for the family.
He loved movies and especially superheroes. He loved them so much he named his daughter after the Pink Ranger from his favorite live-action superhero television series the “Power Rangers”. It didn’t matter if it was the movies or the pizza parlor, going anywhere was a blast with him.
He adored his daughters. He loved taking them to parks, the arcade, and let’s not forget the trips to the ice-cream parlor.. After the arcade, Emily’s favorite place to visit was the ice cream parlor. I would always receive pictures of Emily eating the biggest ice cream sundae!
He loved all the early photo albums from our childhood, and listening and learning our family lineage.
He loved his job! He would always come home telling us funny stories about things at work and how he made everyone there laugh.
He will be greatly missed for his sense of humor and concern for others.
