

Joseph Rivarol Mignon was born on May 27, 1969, in New York City. He is survived by his beloved children, Anais Mignon and Luca Mignon, his sister Marie Myrlande Mignon and his only living brother, Anthony Mignon, along with his nephew, Seth Mignon. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Antonine and Arnold Mignon, and his brothers, Jude Mignon and Dimitry Mignon.
Joseph was educated in the New York City public school system. He attended P.S. 241, I.S. 320 (Jackie Robinson Intermediate School), Westinghouse High School, and graduated from Prospect Heights High School in 1987. He later attended Stony Brook University (SUNY). Joseph was also a proud member of the Malik Sigma Psi Fraternity.
He began his professional career as an educator at Thomas Jefferson High School. While education was a foundation of his professional life, Joseph carried a deep passion for the music industry and the vision of becoming a Caribbean executive who could open doors for others. He pursued this vision with determination, cultural pride, and a commitment to legacy.
Joseph will be remembered as a man of integrity, wisdom, and connection. He was a mentor to many, a source of guidance and encouragement, and someone who believed deeply in family, community, and purpose. His presence, laughter, and love will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.
A visitation will be held at R. Stutzmann & Son, located at 224-39 Jamaica Ave, Queens Village, NY 11428, on December 19, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The funeral mass will take place at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 86-45 Edgerton Blvd, Jamaica Estates, NY 11432, on December 20, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.
Cremation will follow at All Soul's Crematory at St Michael's Cemetery, 72-02 Astoria Blvd, East Elmhurst, New York 11376, on December 20, 2025, at 11:00 am.
