She was born on March 26, 1951, in Harlem, NY, to Willie Mae McCloude and Ezekiel Robinson.
Linda moved to Brooklyn, NY, in her teen years, where she attended Erasmus Hall High School. While studying sociology at Brooklyn College, NY, she met Charles Watson, who later became her husband. Their marriage spanned 55 devoted years, a testament to the love and commitment they built together. The couple made their home in Brooklyn, NY, where they had their first two children, and later moved to Queens, NY, where they had three more children. Linda poured herself wholeheartedly into raising their children.
Throughout her life, Linda worked with the Board of Education and held positions at JFK Airport and the LaGuardia Hotel. She also took great pride in caring for her senior citizen neighbors and showing them genuine concern.
Linda had a gift for art; she painted, photographed the world around her, and loved to capture precious moments between family and friends.
Linda loved to roller skate and dance with her husband and her twin sister, Brenda. She enjoyed gardening, tennis, jogging, and biking. She also loved to sew, creating stylish clothing for herself, her family, and friends. Linda cared deeply about her appearance and carried herself with grace.
At the center of Linda’s life was her faith. She was baptized on November 4, 1979, as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved going out in the ministry and speaking with everyone about Jehovah. She cherished her spiritual brothers and sisters from all over the world and attended Pioneer School. When difficulties arose, Linda would often say, “Leave it in Jehovah’s hands.” She stood firm in her beliefs and protected her family with great strength.
Linda was preceded in death by her loving parents, both of whom she lost as a child; her sisters Nazarene, Dorothy, Shirley, and Elaine; her beloved twin sister, Brenda; and her nieces, Jackie and Yvette.
She is survived by her husband, Charles; her five children, Christopher, Jonathan, Theodore, Linda, and Timothy; four grandchildren, Jay-Lynn, Madison, Mikayla, and Christian; one great-grandchild, Carmen Gianalynn; her nieces, Collette, Chaunte, Glynis, Letitia, Lagretta, Sharema, and Iris; her nephew, Joshua; and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.
A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held on May 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at R. Stutzmann & Son. All who knew and loved Linda are invited to join in honoring her memory.
