She began her early education at Stockwell Primary School, and went on to Vauxhall Manor Secondary School then South London College where she earned a DEC Diploma and AEB Certificate.
Linnet grew up in a loving large family and in her early teen years made a commitment to Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In her teen years Linnet was considered a mother figure to her younger siblings, she was always full of fun and laughter. Being a member of a large family has its challenges and Linnet took those challenges on without flinching. She was immensely committed to family, friends and just causes.
Upon Completing College Linnet began a career with the Dept. of Social Security Contributions Agency. In 1985 while attending a wedding in New York Linnet and her two Sisters (Janet and Beverley) met Collin who later became Her Husband in October of 1992.
In 2012 Linnet was diagnosed with breast cancer and was treated while wearing a smile. In March 2014 Linnet was diagnosed with a Malignant Brain Tumor that was successfully removed, also with a smile. Sadly in October 2014 the cancer returned in the same part of the Brain in a manner that would have been extremely dangerous to Operate and could not be managed with drugs. With tremendous grief, prayer and consultation (with Pastor, Elders and Doctors) the Family agreed to have Linnet Leave this world with her Faculties and Dignity intact. She was then moved to a Hospice in Port Jefferson where she would have her Family and close Friends surround and support her. On Friday November 21st at approx. 1:00pm with her Oldest Daughter, The Pastors wife and a close friend by her side Linnet passed away peacefully into Gods hands.
Linnet is survived by her Husband Collin and Her three kids Jazmyn, JoVahn and Jayden.
