A devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, cherished sister, aunt, and faithful friend. While our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we also rejoice in the life she lived and the deep impact she had on all of us.
Lucienne was born on August 18, 1952, in Aquin, Haiti, to the late Durepo Cheremond and Philicia Simon. From her earliest years, she was surrounded by love and family—a foundation that would shape the woman we all came to know and admire.
On October 15, 1977, Lucienne began a new chapter of her life when she journeyed from St. Martin to the United States with her beloved husband, Calixte Bosse. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with faith, hard work, and unconditional love. They raised two incredible sons: Menard Bosse, who is married to Raihana Atiya Bosse, and Omere Calixte Bosse. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren—Leilani Ann, Keyon Matthieu, and Mckenna Rae—who brought her so much joy, laughter, and purpose.
Lucienne was a woman of incredible work ethic and dedication. Before retiring, she worked in the hotel industry for over thirty years. Her commitment, attention to detail, and determination were evident in everything she did. That same strong work ethic carried over into her everyday life, where she never hesitated to go above and beyond for those she loved.
Her love for her family knew no bounds. She was the heartbeat of every gathering, every holiday, every birthday. Her homemade meals, hand-decorated cakes, and warm laughter filled every room with comfort and joy. Knowing that she spent her final days surrounded by all her grandchildren, under one roof, with a heart full of joy—that is a blessing we will always hold dear.
She was a woman of deep faith, a devout Catholic who attended church every single morning. Her spirituality guided her actions, her generosity, and her incredible resilience. If you needed something—anything—Lucienne would find a way. No task was too large, no favor too inconvenient. She lived to bring happiness to others, and she did it with unwavering grace.
Her sense of humor, her boundless energy, her daily calls just to make sure you were okay—or that you had eaten—these were small gestures that spoke volumes about the kind of woman she was. Those little check-ins are something we will miss profoundly.
Lucienne was also incredibly talented with her hands—a true craftswoman. She sewed most of her own dresses, each one made with care, elegance, and a personal touch. If you ever saw her in a beautiful dress, chances are she made it herself. She also had a deep love for crocheting, creating warmth and beauty from the simplest threads. One of her proudest creations was a tiny pair of crocheted shoes she made for her youngest grandchild—a small but powerful symbol of the love she put into everything she did. These skills weren’t just pastimes; they were reflections of her heart, her patience, and her creative spirit.
Lucienne leaves behind her loving husband, Calixte Bosse; her two sons, Menard Bosse and Omere Calixte Bosse; her daughter-in-law, Raihana Atiya Bosse; and her three adored grandchildren, Leilani Ann, Keyon Matthieu, and Mckenna Rae Bosse. She is also survived by her siblings Lucien Cheremond and Vilcia Cheremond. Lucienne was a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews, including Elourde Celestin, MaFranc Pierre, Hudson Desmornes, Emmanuel Desmornes, Judeline Cheremond, Jean Ruby Cheremond, Berlande Faudoas, Marie-Milot Etienne, Andrice Etienne, Tamara Cheremond, Frantz Cadet, Patricia Cadet, and Samson Malbranche—all of whom she loved dearly.
She is now reunited in Heaven with her parents, Durepo Cheremond and Philicia Simon, and her siblings Christiane Cheremond, Christian Cheremond, and Saintulmène Cheremond.
Lucienne Bosse lived a full life—a life defined by love, sacrifice, joy, and unwavering faith. And while our hearts ache with her absence, we find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, watching over us with that same warmth we felt in her embrace.
As we say goodbye, let us carry her memory in all that we do. Let us live with her spirit of kindness, her devotion to family, and her quiet strength. She may no longer walk among us, but her love will forever live within us.
Rest in eternal peace, Lucienne. You were, and always will be, our blessing.
