A memory note from Louis Henri Netus on the occasion of his uncle’s death Yves Netus

We all know that a man by nature has never been created to live eternally.  Some men unfortunately died at an early age while others got old before they depart.  A good percentage of the people even lived beyond the life expectancy set forth for the community to which they belonged.  Yves Netus was one of them.

However, no matter how long a family member lives, we the relatives, can never familiarize ourselves with the concept of his or her departure when God has called upon that person.  The fact is no matter how difficult and insupportable the case may be, we cannot and are not allowed to reverse the will of God which states: “ You are dust and you will go back to dust “

I know that the whole Netus family, their friends and the deceased’s friends are very sorry and saddened for the loss.  But I also know that through the remembering of Yves’s legacy, God will bring us comfort.  He was a wise and a cool man, an humorist who used to put a smile on the face of everyone he had come in touch with.  Everyone of us will remember him in our own way.

As for me, he was not only my uncle but also a friend with whom I used to discuss many personal things.  When I arrived in the U.S.A for the first time and was a “ just come “ it was him who took me to a few trips around New York City to show me the city.  He also took to the homes of some of my relatives to visit them.  I had really appreciated that gesture toward me.

Yves was a man who always wanted to be seen by others as a young man.  He didn’t like when I called him “ mon oncle Yves “.  Since then, while interacting with him, I simply called him Yves.

Yves was very close to me and as a result, I have a lot of memories and habits with him. For those reasons, I will never forget him and he will always be in my mind.

My son Carl C. Netus, My daughter Fabiana T. Netus,  have joined me to greet your departure.
