

Born in Albany, Maine in 1919, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Ruth (Davis) True. Jean graduated from the North Yarmouth Academy in Yarmouth, ME and went on to graduate from The Convalescent Home of the Children’s Hospital in Wellesley Hills as a Governess.
Always active in her community, Jean was a senior citizen volunteer at the Houghs Neck Meal Site from its inception; on the flower committee of the Houghs Neck Congregational Church since 1961; the secretary of the Houghs Neck Senior Citizens since 1985; a member of the Community Council; volunteered at the voting polls in Houghs Neck for many years; and was the recipient of the Good Neighbors Award in 1985.
She was the beloved wife of the late Chester F. Bragg with who she shared 50 years of marriage. Loving mother of the late James I. Bragg, Donald E. Bragg of Brockton, the late Barry E. Bragg; and Crystal L. Gezotis of Quincy; Loving grandmother of 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late David Butler, the late Virginia Cole, the late Roma Mae Glashen and Barbara Doucette of Maine.
Her funeral service will be held on Friday, March 28th, 2014 at 10 am in the Deware Funeral Home, 576 Hancock Street, Quincy, followed by burial in Blue Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4-8pm. Friends and relatives are kindly invited to attend all services.
