

MAJENSKI, Marion B. “Big Ma” (Marino), of Quincy. Passed away on Friday December 16, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Adam J. Majenski. She is survived by her children Margaret Delaney of Halifax, Thomas Majenski and his wife Patricia of Abington, Marion “Snooky” Knowlton and her husband Arthur of Houghs Neck and Jean Hoban of Franklin. Born on January 23, 1914 she was one of 17 brothers and sisters, she is survived by Richard Marino, Louise Remillard, Grace Coombs, Lawrence Marino, Margaret Fisher and Walter Marino. Dear sister of the late Eleanor McAuley, Doris Wigmore, Annette Donahue, Jean Cook, Antonio, Frances, Alfred, Robert, Arthur and Edward Marino. Marion was the beloved matriarch of five generations including her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was employed by New England Confectioner’s Company (Necco), for over 30 years and was the first shop steward for her Union. Marion enjoyed catering at Dinjion Caterers and became a caretaker to the elderly after she retired. An avid bingo player. She enjoyed playing video slots at local casinos. She also enjoyed baking and knitting, Marion made many a sweater for those she loved. She was a loving and caring baby sitter to many little ones and was known as Big Ma to all. She will be sadly missed by generations of family and friends. Funeral from the Deware Funeral Home 576 Hancock Street, WOLLASTON on Tuesday December 20th at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends invited.
