

MILLER, Vivian R (Larson), 82 of Quincy, died January 25, 2016 at Care one at Weymouth Health Center. She was born and educated in Cambridge, MA. Proud member of the Class of 1951 at Cambridge High and Latin. After graduation she worked for Ace Venetian Blind Company in Cambridge.
Beloved daughter of the late Carl and Pauline (Thorson) Larson. Loving wife of the late Paul H. Miller Jr. Adored mother of Corinne (Darryl) Mikami of Braintree, Barbara Ferreira of Braintree, and Elizabeth (Lonny) Parrish of Abington and the late Linda Ruth Miller. Cherished grandmother of Kyle, Kendra, and Kaleb Mikami, Jamie Ferreira, Adam, Kristin, and twins Nicole and Lindsey Parrish. Vivian is also survived by her devoted twin sister Mildred Dougenik of Ashford, CT, she was also the sister of the late Arline Hanson and Ronald Larson and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
After raising her family for many years she returned to the work force. Vivian actually loved taking the Red Line to her job in the Financial District in Boston. She worked tirelessly for the Bethany Congregational Church serving on many committees, assisting the church women with various functions and served as Chairwoman of the annual church fair numerous times. Vivian had a lovely alto voice and was a member of the Church Choir for over 30 years, and was a long time member of the Laura Howe Team. She performed in many of the Bethany Players productions. Vivian also worked for 44 years at the voting polls at the Merrymount Elementary School. Vivian was an enthusiastic Avon Representative and earned the coveted Mrs. Albie award many times over.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Care One. Vivian enjoyed being there and participating in their many activities such as the coffee socials, trivia, bingo, ice cream parties and anything musical.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 11 AM at Bethany Congregational Church, 18 Spear Street in Quincy. Collation to follow in the church’s Allen Parlor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Interfaith Social Services, 105 Adams Street, Quincy, MA 02169
