Anne Graham Poole

Mrs. Anne Graham Poole of 235 New York Avenue, Southern Pines, NC died Sunday, August 15, 2010 at the age of 81. Mrs. Poole was born June 15, 1929 to the late Archibald Alexander Graham and Ida Lee Patton Graham. She was preceded in death by her husband William Lawrence Poole Jr. She was a member of the Raeford Presbyterian Church. Survivors include three sons: William L. Poole III of Phoenix, AZ, Joseph C. Poole and his wife Marinell of Raeford, and Graham Poole of Raeford; three daughters: Allison P. Newton and her husband Marshall of Raeford, Jane P. Mohorn and her husband Bryan of Cary, NC, and Mary Anne Poole of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; one sister Elizabeth G. Wilson of Fayetteville; eight Grandchildren: Joseph Poole Jr., Anna Jean Poole, Neill Newton, Mary Lawrence Newton, Kate Mohorn, Emily Mohorn, Parker Anne Poole, and William L. Poole IV. A visitation will be held Tuesday, August 17, 2010 from 7:00 until 8:00pm at the home of Marshall and Allison Newton, 2781 Johnson Mill Road, Raeford, NC 28376 A memorial service will be held Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 11:00am at the Raeford Presbyterian Church with Reverend Mark Fisher officiating. A memorial service will be held at the Harbor Club in Charleston, SC at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Raeford Presbyterian Church Building Fund, PO Box 1570, Raeford, NC 28376, or the Raeford-Hoke Museum, 111 S. Highland Street, Raeford, NC 28376
