

Mr. Benjamin Franklin (B. F.) Watts of 13261 Hwy 71 North, died Thursday, March 24, 2011 in his home at the age of 86. Mr. Watts was born in Robeson County on September 10, 1924 to the late Perry Watts and Mattie Campbell Cribb. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jerry Cribb and June Hammonds and his daughter-in-law Gay Watts. Mr. Watts was a member of Westside Baptist Church and the DAV of Red Springs. He served in the US Army during WWII and the North Carolina National Guard. Survivors include his wife Betty R. Watts of Red Springs; a son, Ray Watts of Red Springs; two grandchildren, Brandon Watts of Red Springs, and Olivia Watts Jackson and her husband Robbie of Red Springs; one great-granddaughter, Gabrielle Jackson of Red Springs, and two nieces, Jackie Singleton and her husband Dee of Lumberton, and Barbara McInnis and her husband Billy of Red Springs. Visitation will be 7:00 P. M. until 9:00 P. M., Friday, March 25, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East 4th Avenue, Red Springs, NC 28377 Funeral services will be 2:00 P. M. Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Westside Baptist Church, 527 N. Vance Street, Red Springs, NC with Pastor Randy Locklear officiating. Burial will be in Alloway Cemetery.
