Brenda Currie

She was born in Hoke County on March 19, 1956, to the late John and Irene Currie.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert “Bobby” Currie and Henry “Lee” Currie; her niece, Sharon Elaine Currie; and her nephew, Thomas Leon Currie.

Brenda was a lifelong member of Bethel Presbyterian Church in Raeford. She was church historian, secretary, and in charge of the Presbyterian Women of the Church. She worked at Hoke County Partnership for Children and Families for many years.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting, specifically door hangers, wreaths, and flower arrangements. She loved her furbabies, Bella and Bailey. Brenda referred to the three of them as “the three B’s”. She always found ways to take care of others.

She will be missed by many.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery with Rev. James Wilhide officiating.
