Mr. Carl Vernon "Bud" Cook, formerly of Fayetteville, died Friday, March 23, 2012 in Lexington Medical Center Extended Care at the age of 84. Mr. Cook was born May 19, 1927 in Cumberland County, NC to the late William Blackman Cook and Bonnie Carbell Lunsford Cook. Survivors include 5 sisters, Phillis Davis of New Philadelphia, Ohio, Margie Sandy of Raeford, NC, Carol Lloyd and her husband John of Swansea, SC, Peggy Currie of Stedman, NC, and Bonnie Jones and her husband Vester of Fackler, AL. Visitation will be from 7:00 until 9:00 pm Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Crumpler Funeral Home in Raeford. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm Monday, March 26, 2012 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Joel Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Raeford Cemetery.
