

Mrs. Cora Mae Jackson, of 118 N. Dickson Street, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 in her home at the age of 90. Mrs. Jackson was born in Hoke County on May 7, 1921 to the late William Jackson and Ada Livingston Jackson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Jackson, two sons, Roscoe Jackson, Jr. Charles Edward Jackson, a daughter, Carole Hagins, and a son-in-law, Billy Ray Hagins. She was the owner and operator of Jacksons Grocery. Mrs. Jackson was the oldest lifelong member of Ephesus Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, the church, and her family. A special thanks to Dr. Stephen Logue, and Cape Fear Home Health and Hospice. Survivors include a son, William R. Jackson and wife Helen of Lumber Bridge, NC; three daughters, Ellen Dew and husband Fred of Fayetteville, Tondea A. Jackson of Raeford, and Gena Jackson of Fayetteville; a brother, Neil A. Jackson and wife Rae of Raeford; five grandchildren, Fred Dew, Jr., Gary Hagins and wife Cindy, Amanda Dew, Andrea Larrimore, and Melissia Williams; eight great grandchildren, Whitney McCoy and husband Matt, Cortney Hagins, Josh Odom, Brandon Hagins, Miranda Childs, Aaron Childs, Jarrett Jackson, and Jordan Odom; and 2 great great grandchildren, Jaeden Pearl McCoy, and Miley May Hagins. The family will receive friends and relatives between the hours of 6:30 and 8:30 PM, Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC 28376. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM, Sunday, September 4, 2011 at Ephesus Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Sanderson and Reverend Dwight Jackson officiating.
