Doris Dunn Marks

Mrs. Doris Dunn Marks of 506 W. Edinborough Avenue, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010 in her home at the age of 80. Mrs. Marks was born February 17, 1930 in Moore County to the late Clayton and Magdalene Spangler Dunn. She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church. Mrs. Marks was the co-owner of Marks Food Store on Main Street in Raeford before it closed in the mid 1970's. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thad Marks. Survivors include a son, Wilbur T. Marks, Jr of Raeford; two daughters, Sandra M. Holcomb and her husband Harold, of Raeford and Elaine M. Dore and her husband Edward of NH; a brother, Clayton (Buddy) Dunn and his wife Martha of Clinton; five grandchildren, Kim Holcomb, Heather Fucci and husband Eddie, Christopher Dore, Jennifer Thibeault, and Justin Dore; four great grandchildren, Cody Holcomb, Wesley Wilburn, Casey Thibeault, and Devin Thibeault. Visitation will be held 7:00 until 9:00 pm Friday, November 19, 2010 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P. M., Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Parker United Methodist Church with Reverend Stephen Bennett and Reverend Dennis Lamm officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Aberdeen.
