Evelyn McKenzie Tolar

DATELINE: Red Springs Mrs. Evelyn McKenzie Tolar, formerly of Rennert, NC, passed away Monday, May 31, 2010 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Tolar and three brother, J. F., R. D., and Joe McKenzie. Mrs. Tolar was a past member of Rennert Baptist Church and a current member of First Baptist Church in Red Springs. Survivors include her daughter, Amanda Tolar of Raleigh, NC; sister-in-law, Jane McKenzie of Red Springs, NC; nephew, Joe McKenzie, Jr and wife Kim of Albemarle, NC; nieces, Mary Bounds, Janet Summers and husband Mike, all of Raeford,NC, Shelia Batchelor and husband, Richard of Atlanta, GA.; cousin, Adelaide Shoemaker and husband Benny of Red Springs, NC; three great-nephews, Jeffrey and Kyle Bounds of Raeford, and Matthew Batchelor of Atlanta, GA. The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 P. M. Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Crumpler Funeral Home 220 East 4th Avenue, Red Springs, NC. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Red Springs with Reverend Bradley Boberg officiating. Burial will be in Great Marsh Baptist Church Cemetery in St. Pauls, NC. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Flower Fund, PO Box 166, Red Springs, NC 28377.
