Dateline: Raeford Mr. George T. Scheel of Raeford died July 31, 2013 at Autumn Care of Raeford at the age of 75. Mr. Scheel was born July 23, 1938 in Anne Arundel Co. Maryland to the late Thomas Francis Scheel and Nettie Elizabeth Russell Scheel. He was retired from the US Air Force. He is preceded in death by his wife Lois Scheel. He is survived by 5 daughters Connie Jones of Lincoln, Nebraska; Sharon Miller of Warrensburg, Missouri; Jody Gilfillan of Lincoln, Nebraska; Dixie Scheel of Saxapahaw, North Carolina; Somer Stevens of Cary North Carolina; 1 sister Fran Napfel of Edgewater, Maryland; 7 grandchildren and 6 great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel 131 Harris Ave. Raeford, NC.
