Jessie Nicholson Jones

Mrs. Jessie Nicholson Jones of 102 North Magnolia Street, died Friday, April 15, 2011 at Mayview Convalescent Center in Raleigh, at the age of 82. Mrs. Jones was born in Roxboro, NC on September 18, 1928 to the late Lewis and Janie Abbitt Winstead. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John F. Nicholson and William E. (Bootley) Jones, and a step-son, William E. Jones Jr. She was a member of Raeford Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two sons, John (Nick) Nicholson Jr. and his wife Pat of Raleigh, and Bryce Nicholson and his wife Judy of Raleigh; three step-daughters, Diane Williams and her husband Don of Wilmington, NC, Janice Mullis and her husband Tom of Burlington, NC, and Jeanne Misenheimer and her husband Eric of Mebane, NC; a step-daughter-in-law, Pat Jones of Graham, NC; two brothers, Dan Winstead, and Isaac (Butch) Winstead both of Roxboro, NC; two sisters Jane Winstead of Greensboro, NC, and Bernadine Warner of Savannah, GA; four grandchildren, John Nicholson III, Thomas Nicholson, Stephanie Millikin and her husband Packy, and Jessica Nicholson; six step-grandchildren, Sara Kinlaw and her husband Thomas, Emily Dawson and her husband Brian, Abbey Misenheimer, Jack Long and his fianc Caitlyn Kirchner, Courtney Jones, and Laura Jones; and four step-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 until 11:00am on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC Graveside Services will be held 11:30am Monday, April 18, 2011 at Raeford Cemetery with Reverend Mark Fisher officiating.
