Marlene Clifton Miller

Mrs. Marlene Clifton Miller of 1856 Strother Road died Wednesday, August 17, 2011 in Highsmith-Rainey Hospital in Fayetteville at the age of 58. Mrs. Miller was born in Scotland County on November 10, 1952 to the late David Clifton and Shirley Saunders Clifton. She was a loving mother and mammy, and most of all, a loving wife. Mrs. Miller was a volunteer with the Robeson County School System. Survivors include her husband, Jerry W. Miller of Aberdeen, NC; two sons, Tommy Hester and wife Lynn of Red Springs, NC and Shane Hester and Mandy Miller of Pinehurst, NC; two daughters, Haley Purcell and husband Ricky of Augusta, GA and Brittany Miller of Aberdeen, NC; a brother, David Clifton, Jr. of Eastover, NC; eight grandchildren, Cassi Wagoner, Seth Wagoner, Lindsay Hester, Macy Hester, T.J. Hester, Molli Black, Jasmine Miller, and Malachi Miller; two great grandchildren, Anthony Allen and Zachary Allen. The family will receive family and friends between the hours of 7:00 and 9:00 PM, Friday August 19, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 220 East Fourth Avenue, Red Springs, NC and at othe times at the home of Tommy and Lynn Hester, 104 Prince Charles Street, Red Springs, NC. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 20, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Thad Pearson and Reverend Elbert Watson officiating.
