Melissa Kaye Pittman

Melissa Kaye Pittman passed away peacefully at First Health Moore Regional Hospital on Friday, November 6, 2020 at the age of 54.Melissa was born in Cumberland County on August 3, 1966. She was preceded in death by her daddy Jimmy Pittman, her paternal grandparents A.W. and Mae Pittman, maternal grandparents Odell and Sadie Melton, six aunts, one uncle and a special cousin Beth Egan. She was an active member of Pittman Grove Baptist Church and the Raeford Chamber of Commerce. Melissa was the Executive director of the North Carolina Turkey Festival, which is now the North Carolina Fall Festival.She is survived by her mother Judy Melton Pittman and her sweet dog Sophie, uncles, Mike Melton and his wife Shirley and Johnny Melton all of Raeford, NC., her aunt, Carolyn Whitley of Rocky Mount, NC., her uncle, Larry Pittman of Camden County, and many cousins, friends, and extended family. Melissa had no children of her own but was blessed with many that she loved beyond words.Visitation will be held from 11:00 until 12:00 noon on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at Crumpler Funeral Home Chapel in RaefordA Memorial Service will follow at 12:00 noon at the Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Williams officiating.In lieu of flowers please give donations to:Pittman Grove Baptist Church4921 Pittman Grove Church RoadRaeford, NC 28376 Services have been entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home of Raeford.
