DATELINE: Raeford Mrs. Rebecca Martin Long of 1301 S. Parker Church Road died Saturday, October 1, 2011 at Autumn Care of Raeford, at the age of 91. Mrs. Long was born in Hoke County on July 21, 1920 to the late Archie and Nelia Martin Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Long Jr. and two sons, Ronald Long and Donald Long. She was a lifetime member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. She is survived by her brother, Fulton Brock of Linden, and sister, Grace Rogers of Raeford, two grandchildren, Ronald Alfred Long Jr. of Stedman, Christine Theresa Taylor of Hope Mills, and two great grandchildren, Austin Long and Dustin Cherry of Stedman. Visitation will be 1:00 until 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 4, 2011, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Rockfish, followed by the funeral services beginning at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Archie Barringer officiating. Burial will be in Raeford City cemetery. Care of the family is entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC.
