Retired MSG Richard F. Ward of Greensboro formerly of Red Springs passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at the age of 87.He was preceded in death by a daughter, his parents, and two brothers. In 1968 he retired from the US Army as a MSG.He is survived by his wife of 70 years Faye Elkins Ward of Greensboro, NC; a son Richard F. Ward Jr. of Greensboro, NC; 3 grandchildren, Melinda Lee, Wendy Bifani (Chris) and Jason Rogers 4 great grandchildren, Joshua, Ryan, Miranda and Jason Jr; two sisters Carlene and Jeannie; four brothers, Bob, Tom, Jim and Kevin A graveside service will be held Tuesday November 17, 2020 at 1:00 pm at the Alloway Cemetery.The Family will receive friends after the service at the cemetery.Services have been entrusted to Crumpler Funeral Home of Raeford.
