Robert Clifford Bobby Bostic

Mr. Robert (Bobby) Clifford Bostic, Sr. died Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in his home at the age of 77. Mr. Bostic was born in Cumberland County on February 19, 1934 to the late Clifford David Bostic and Gladys McFayden Bostic. He was a member of Sandy Grove United Methodist Church. He served in the US Army, was employed with the Ford Company as a mechanic in the late 1950s and early 60s, was a mechanic with Hoke County School Bus Garage for 10 years, and was the Director of Transportation for 23 years. Mr. Bostic was a charter member of Stonewall Volunteer Fire Department. He was a loving husband, father, and friend and will be dearly missed by all. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Joyce Beasley Bostic of Lumber Bridge, NC; a son, Robert C. Bostic Jr. of Lumber Bridge, NC; a daughter, Pamela B. Vazquez and husband Alberto of Raeford, NC; 2 grandchildren, Sophia Vazquez and Tomas Vazquez. The family will receive relatives and friends between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Crumpler Funeral Home, 131 Harris Avenue, Raeford, NC. Funeral Services will be 4:00 PM, Friday, September 23, 2011 at Sandy Grove United Methodist Church with Reverend Dennis Lamm officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Sandy Grove United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 6800 Arabia Road, Lumber Bridge, NC 28357 or Hospice Foundation of Hoke County, PO Box 1584, Raeford, NC 28376.
