Robert Leonard Seward

Mr. Robert Leonard (Bob) Seward of Clinton went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at the age of 80.Mr. Seward was born in Moore County on July 24, 1939, to the late Carlton Henry Seward and Tinie Bell Wall Seward. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy (Dot) Seward, two brothers, Wilbert W. Seward and Alfred L. Seward, a sister, Betty S. Markstahler and his grandmother, Bertha Seward. He attended Plainview Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church in Clinton and was a member of the Lions Club in Clinton.Mr. Seward is survived by his step-son Tommy Ferrell of Fayetteville, NC; a granddaughter, Lauren Bass and her husband Raymond of Fayetteville, NC; two great granddaughters, Aubryn Bass and Stella Bass both of Fayetteville; two nephews, Steven Seward and his wife Tracy of Florence, SC and Alan Seward and his wife Betty of Lyman, SC.; a great niece Megan Seward of Lyman, SC; a dear friend Elana Best of Clinton, NCA graveside service will be held 2:00 pm on Monday, May 18, 2020 at Yates-Thagard Baptist Church Cemetery, 3253 Niagara-Carthage Road, Carthage, NC.The family will receive friends after the service at the gravesite.STATE OFFICIALS HAVE MANDATED LIMITING GATHERINGS TO NO MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE, INCLUDING FAMILY MEMBERS AND FUNERAL HOME STAFF.
